Newbridge supports printing through Windows or legacy printing, as well as direct printing.
How to access print receipts
Log in to the Newbridge Back Office.
Navigate to Till Programming, then select Receipt Layouts.
Receipt layout categories
There are seven categories for receipt layouts. These are created during your initial configuration; however, you are able to alter them to suit your requirements.
Receipt layout categories are:
Customer Receipt - This is the receipt that usually prints after settling a transaction.
Kitchen Receipt - This receipt will print to the kitchen or bar.
X Report - This will be the layout of your X Reports.
Z Report - This will be the layout of your Z Reports.
Bill - This is the receipt that you will give to your customer when they ask to view the bill.
Gift Card Receipt - This receipt will print when a customer purchases a gift card.
Clock in Out Slip - This will be what prints when a clerk clocks in and out of the till.
How to edit receipt layouts
To edit the receipt layout, follow the steps below:
To start editing, select a receipt type and click Edit.
Each receipt has a Header, Body and Footer which can be adjusted.
To edit the receipt, start by selecting the alignment, row type, and row location, then click add row.
After adding rows, you can click and drag them to rearrange their order. You can also select multiple rows at once to apply changes to font weight, size, or style in bulk.
Customisable attributes
Alignment/Position - You have four options here: 2 Columns (requires you to select two row types, positioning one on the left and one on the right), 1 Column Left, Right, and Centre (will insert the row type in the corresponding column).
Row Type - Here you select the information you would like to be displayed on the receipt after selecting its alignment/position, such as clerk name, table number, room number, or time.
Row Text - If you selected the row type custom here, you could edit the contents. It has been used very creatively in the past, for instance, Guest Signature__________.
Row Location - Here you can pick from the Header, Body, or Footer to insert your row type. Once you have picked the location, you cannot drag the object between locations.
Paper Size - This button allows the layout to be printed at A4 size.
Font Weight - Here you can toggle between regular or bold text.
Font Size - Here you can adjust the size of the text on the receipt.
Font - Here you can change which font to print with.
π€ Tip: For best results, we recommend collaborating with your chefs to determine the exact information needed on kitchen checks, and then designing a receipt that fits their needs.
