Perform a ResDiary sync to update your POS system when you've made changes in ResDiary, such as adding new tables or locations, or when bookings aren't appearing correctly. This process ensures your table plan and reservation data remain consistent across both systems. This guide explains when synchronisation is necessary, the requirements you need to meet before syncing, and how to complete the sync process from your Master Till.
When to Sync ResDiary
A ResDiary sync is needed when:
New locations or tables have been added in ResDiary.
A new segment has started.
Bookings are not displaying in the Table List.
Before you begin
Before performing a ResDiary sync, ensure the following conditions are met:
Integration with ResDiary: You should have an integration with ResDiary.
Master Till Access: The sync can only be actioned from the Master Till.
No Open Tables: All tables must be closed before initiating the sync.
Perform a ResDiary Sync
To perform a ResDiary Sync, follow the steps below:
Log in to the Master Till.
Navigate to Functions on your Master Till.
Select either Application or Manager, and click the Sync button.
π Note: The location of the Sync button can vary.
Choose ResDiary Sync Tables.
Sync Complete message is displayed on screen.
π€ Tip: Allow 5-10 minutes for the new locations and tables to upload to the back office.
Log into the Back Office.
Navigate to Till Programming, Table Plans and then select Update Tables.
π€ Tip: Unstack and rearrange or resize tables as needed.
Once set as required, complete the following steps on each till on site:
Log into the till.
Select Functions.
Select Refresh Data to apply changes.
Troubleshooting
Duplicate locations appear after sync: The sync was performed from an incorrect till, which was not the Master Till. Locate the Master Till and perform a new sync from the correct Master terminal.
Sync Unable to Perform with Open Tables: Error message displays even when the table plan appears empty. Contact Support to check and resolve table data.
