You can register walk-in guests directly through your Newbridge POS system when they arrive without a reservation. This creates a ResDiary booking record and opens their table bill in one streamlined process, helping you maintain accurate occupancy data and manage table turnover efficiently. This guide explains how to create walk-in bookings using the ResDiary integration and seat customers immediately.
Before you begin
Ensure you have:
Your Clerk PIN to sign on to the till.
Access to the ResDiary Create Walk-In function on your system.
Create a ResDiary walk-in booking
To create a ResDiary walk-in booking, follow the steps below:
Sign on to a till using your Clerk PIN.
Navigate to Functions, then select Application.
Click ResDiary Create Walk In.
πNote: The menu path may vary by site; this is the default configuration.
Complete the following booking details:
Covers β enter the number of people.
Duration β enter how long the table will be required for.
Threshold (if required) β enter how many additional seats you are willing to allocate.
Select an arrival time from the available options.
Choose a table from the drop-down list of available tables.
Select Confirm. Newbridge will then display a booking confirmed message along with the booking reference.
Select Save Table to open the bill and seat customers automatically.
