Run sales and finance reports to track revenue, analyse department performance, monitor payment methods, and calculate profitability across your operations.

Generate sales and finance reports to analyse revenue, track payment methods, monitor discounts, and calculate profitability. Access comprehensive reports covering department performance, tax breakdowns, refunds, voids, wage costs, and transaction details to support financial management and business decisions.

Access to Sales and Finance Reports

To access Newbridge Reporting, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Newbridge Back office, entering your username and password.

  2. From the left-hand panel, select Reporting to expand the list and select View Reports.

  3. Within the orange Sales and Finance Reports section, select a report to review.

Available reports

Newbridge EPoS have the following Sales and Finance Reports, and the information below states why and when each report should be used.

Financial Summary

  • Displays a breakdown of your sales and product-level discounts at the department level and sub-department level.

  • Lists any additional income, including gratuities, service charges and gift card sales. Lists any negatives, such as check level discounts or expenses.

  • Shows total covers as well as spend per head.

  • Shows a breakdown of payment types.

Cashback

  • Shows the date of the cash back, the clerk that performed the cash back as well as a direct link to the transaction it created.

Department Sales

  • Displays a breakdown of each department and its gross sales value.

  • Shows the quantity of individual sales from that department.

SubDepartment Sales

  • Displays a breakdown of each sub-department and its gross sales value.

  • Shows the quantity of individual sales from that sub-department.

Product Sales

  • Shows individual products' performance, listing quantity of sales, refunds, their sales as a gross value, discounts applied directly to the product as well as gross profit calculations.

Payment Type Transactions

  • A breakdown of each payment method and it’s total sales value of products.

  • Shows the quantity of sales for that payment method.

Discounts Report

  • Displays a breakdown of all check level discounts applied and how many individual products have been affected by the discount.

  • Also shows the value discounts for each discount type.

  • Promotions also display their breakdown here.

Refunds

  • Shows the date of the refund, how many items were refunded, the clerk that performed the refund and a direct link to the transaction it created.

Void Report

  • Displays every product which has been voided, as well as the date/time, the value of the product voided, the clerk who was signed in on the till, as well as the reason they have picked for the void.

  • Has a link that takes you into the actual transaction for more data.

Product Sales by Time

  • You can choose a start and end time, then see the product sales between the two.

  • Shows individual product performance, listing quantity of sales, refunds, their sales as a gross value, discounts applied directly to the product as well as gross profit calculations

Daily Department Sales

  • Displays the net sales for each department for an entire week and breaks it into daily headers, for example, Mon, Tues, Wed.

  • Gives you the option to pick the first day of the week.

Discount Audit Report

  • Displays each transaction that was affected by a check-level discount.

  • Each discount has its own section, making it easy to look at the discount you want to investigate, such as “staff food” or “Directors' Discount”.

  • Lists the products affected line by line, as well as the clerk who applied the discount and the value of the discounted product.

  • Has a link to the exact transactions if you want to view more data.

PMS Department Sales

  • Displays a regular department sales report, then splits the sales into “posted” and “not posted” to the room. Allowing you to see the sales generated by room charging.

Tax Report

  • Displays the sales generated through each of your tax rates, For example, 5%, 12.5% or 20%.

  • Also displays the actual VAT amount from the total sales for each rate.

Expenses Report

  • Displays every transaction that contains an expense.

  • Displays the reason for the expense and the clerk who performed it.

  • Has a link to the exact transactions if you want to view more data.

Sales by Table Location

  • Shows a breakdown of each sub-department and their gross sales value and quantity of sales, for each location on your table plan.

Sales Comparison

  • You pick two date ranges, then the report shows you the comparison between the two.

  • Departments and sub-departments are displayed and show the gross sales and number of sales for both time periods.

  • Wages VS Sales are also displayed and show you the comparison between the two date ranges.

  • There is a final column which shows the difference in percentage format.

GP Summary

  • Shows your projected GP and your actual GP, considering any. Discounts/promotions or wastage/voids applied.

Financial Summary 7 Days

  • Displays the usual financial summary; however, it lets you pick a starting date for the week and then shows all the data broken into individual days for comparison. For example, Mon, Tues, Wed.

Profit Summary Report

  • Displays department sales, along with their total cost to produce those sales. This is then shown as a monetary profit figure and a percentage.

  • Labour costs are also displayed and broken down into their clerk areas. The total labour costs are subtracted from the gross profit and produce the net profit figure.

  • This report can also be toggled to compare to separate date ranges and compare net profits.

Weekly Sales Analysis Report

  • Produces a breakdown of your department sales and shows their contribution to your total sales as a percentage. For example, “Food” 32.27%
    It also displays each department and the gross profit as a percentage for each one.

Clerk Gratuities Report

  • Shows a breakdown of each clerk and the total amount of gratuities they have received, as well as the quantity of gratuities, so that you can work out the average gratuity per clerk.

SubDepartment Sales by Payment Method

  • Displays each payment method you have, listing each sub-department and the gross total for each.

Day Parts Report

  • Displays each of your day parts, then subsequently each sub-department within that day and down to the granular level of showing products. Including gross sales, net sales and quantity of sales.

  • You can also filter this report by day parts, so you could filter out purely for breakfast items etc.

Day Parts Summary Report

  • Like the regular day parts report, however, it is more condensed and does not show each product; instead, it just shows the total for the sub-department within the day part.

Transactions By Payment Type

  • Lists every OrderID / Transaction in chronological order, under the payment method it originated from.

Transaction Detail Report

  • Lists every OrderID / Transaction in chronological order, listing payment method, terminal, site and amount.
