Integrate your card machine
This article explains how to integrate your card machine with Newbridge EPoS. By pairing your device, you'll be able to process card payments directly through your till system. You'll need to complete this process once for each till in your venue.
Pair your card machine
β οΈ Important: You must have the Config permission enabled. If not, contact your manager for assistance.
To pair your PDQ, follow the steps below:
From the main screen, select the POS settings cog icon.
π Note: If you don't see the settings cog icon, your clerk code doesn't have the Config permission. Contact your manager for assistance.
In the next screen, select Settings.
Select EFT Settings, then click the pencil icon to edit the CAP Terminal Device.
The Settings Editor screen will open. Select the Terminal ID that matches your card machine from the dropdown list.
πNote: If your Terminal ID doesn't appear in the list, you may need to change your payment device to Paired, Integrated Sale, or Pay at Counter mode. See the section below for guidance.
Click OK to save your changes.
Click Close on the Settings page.
Navigate to Functions, then select Refresh Data to apply the settings.
Your card machine is now paired with this till and ready to process payments.
β οΈWarning: You'll need to repeat the pairing process on each individual till. Follow the same steps above for every terminal you want to connect to a card machine.
Enable the correct payment device mode
If your Terminal ID doesn't appear in the dropdown list during setup, your payment device may need to be set to the correct mode first. The required mode is typically called Paired, Integrated Sale, or Pay at Counter, depending on your provider.
Your payment provider can assist you directly with this and may offer helpful guides such as those listed below:
