Customise your point-of-sale interface by adding product buttons directly to your till screen. This guide walks you through the process of creating and configuring buttons in Screen Programming, from selecting the right page to refreshing your terminals so the changes take effect immediately. Plus a video tutorial at the end of the article.
Add a button to the till screen
β οΈ Important: Before creating a button, make sure you have already created a product that you want to add as a button. Also make sure you have space for the new button - you can create a new till screen page if required.
To add a button to the till screen, follow the steps below:
Log into the Newbridge Back office, entering your username and password.
Select Till Programming, then Screen Programming.
Scroll to Edit A Screen section, select the page where you want to add the button and select the action to Edit.
A new page will open showing the current configuration. Double-click on a blank button to launch the Button Editor.
π€ Tip: Buttons can also be resized in this screen by clicking and dragging from the bottom right corner of the button and formatted to suit your needs.
In the Button Actions tab, find the item and click Add to Button.
π€ Tip: This will automatically populate the Button Text with the product name.
Click Save and Close.
β οΈ Important: Remember to refresh data on each terminal by navigating to Functions and then Refresh Data, so that the new button is ready for use.
