Create, manage, and configure stock control for products.

Manage your product catalogue by creating, editing, and configuring products with pricing, stock control, and modifiers. Set up products with departments, pricing bands, and kitchen printing options to streamline your till operations and inventory management.


Managing products

The system provides several key functions for managing your product catalogue:

New – Create a new product.
​Edit – Alter an existing product.
​Delete – Remove a product.
​Copy – Create a new product with the same data as an existing one.
​Reset Filters – Clear any filters you have applied whilst searching.
​Print Labels – Create barcode stickers to add to your products.


Creating a new product

A product is comprised of a name, a department, a sub-department, a selling price and finally pricing options. These are the key elements that you must configure to create a product.

Before creating a new product, ensure you have:

To create a new product, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Newbridge back office, entering your username and password.

  2. Select Till Programming, then select Products.

  3. Under Create and Manage Products, then select New.

  4. Within Basic Product Information, enter the new product information, including:

    • Product Name: This is shown on receipts and reports.

    • Short description: This will auto-populate, however, you can overwrite if required. This is displayed to the kitchen team.

    • Department: Select from the drop-down menu.

    • Sub-department: Select from the drop-down menu.

    • Barcode: This will auto-populate if you make this a stock-enabled product, or can be left blank.

    • Product Type: Select either a product or a modifier.

  5. Within Pricing, enter the new product information, including:

    • Selling Price: This is the price the customer will pay.

    • Cost Price: This is the amount it costs you to sell.

    • Tax Rate: Select from the drop-down menu.

  6. Within Additional Pricing, each product can have five Price Levels stored if required. You can switch between different levels for promotions -for example, for Happy Hour pricing.

  7. Once completed as required, click Save in the top right.


Stock control tab

When creating a product, you will see a stock control tab.

If you intend to use stock control, you must configure the products you are counting as stock units.

To set up stock control on a product, follow the steps below:

  1. Within the saved product, select the Stock Control tab.

  2. Choose from the following stock type options:

    • Non-Stock – Products that don't require inventory tracking.

    • Stock Unit – Products with inventory management, and when creating child/parent products.

    • Recipe – Products made from multiple ingredients.

    • Parent Product – Products with multiple variations.

  • If Stock Unit is selected, complete the following:

    • SKU – Choose a Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) identifier.

    • Supplier – Assign the product supplier.

    • Par Levels – Set minimum and maximum stock levels.

Modifiers tab

When creating a product, you will see a modifiers tab.

A modifier is typically selected if it will be an addition to another product. For example, side options like chips.

To add a modifier to the product, follow the steps below:

  1. Within the basic product information, set the Product Type as Modifier.

  2. Select the Modifiers tab, then select the modifier(s) to assign.

  3. Click Save.


Printing tab

When creating a product, you will see a printing tab.

Receipt print?

To print the product on Guest receipts, tick Print to Receipt.

Kitchen print?

You need to allocate which print slot this product will be able to print to, depending on your site's printing configuration.

For example, if it is a food item and you have a kitchen slot, then tick the corresponding box.


Viewing all products

Once you have created your product, you can use the product screen to see a complete list of all your products.
