Payment types are used to define methods of payment through your POS, such as VISA, Mastercard, Cash and Vouchers.

Create a new Payment Type

To create a payment type, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Newbridge Backoffice, entering your username and password.

  2. Select Till Programming, then Payment Types.

  3. Click New.

  4. Enter the Payment Type information, including:

    • Name: Free type a clear and concise name for the payment type.

    • Prefix Amount: In most cases, the prefix should remain at zero. The prefix amount specifies the payment automatically applied to the bill when selected. For example, setting a Cash button with a 5.00 prefix will apply Β£5 cash payment to a bill automatically when selected.

    • Type of Payment: Select this from the drop-down menu.

  5. When ready, click Create.

⚠️ Important: If you have integrations with other systems - once created, you will need to map payment codes within the integration.
